Welcome! Here’s a brief overview of how Wygo works.

Part 1: Getting Started

  1. Get started by Logging In ↗. If you don’t have an account, you’ll be prompted to sign up with your email address or Google OAuth.

  2. Set up your personal Wygo account Select a profile picture, Wygo avatar, and username. Input your first and last name, and write a bio. This will be the account you use across various organizations on the platform and how attendees of your events recognize you in real life, we recommend using a picture of your face and your real name.

  1. Personal Overview page Once you’re in Wygo, you’ll see your personal overview page. This is where you can see all events you’re contributing to across the platform. When someone invites you as a co-host, you can accept the email here. You can also track registrations, revenue, and a calendar of your schedule at the highest level here.

  1. (Optional) Create an Organization If you’re organizing on behalf of an organization (and haven’t been invited by a team member), it’s time to create one! In the top left corner of your menu, click the drop down menu and “Create Organization”.

After naming the organization, adding a profile picture and bio, inviting collaborators, and choosing the email you’ll recieve notifications for this org, hit Create.

  1. Organization Overview Page This page is very similar to the personal overview page, but with one small caveat — multiple people can contribute and “act on behalf of” the organization account. When you create an event from this account, it will be hosted “by the organization”.

  1. Create Event After hitting the “Create Event” button, enter the initial details of the event: Event Name, a Cover image, the date, time, location, and a brief description.

The Hosts will be auto-populated as you (the person) and the Org. This is so that people will know who to find in person at the event as “the organizer” while also still making sure that the event “lives” with the org.

Hit “Create Event Draft” to fill in further details about your event before publishing it live.
